11.17.2011 (Thursday night)

We're excited to announce that our Thursday night speaker will be Harriet Hageman, an attorney with the Hageman and Brighton Law Office in Cheyenne, WY.

Harriet has built a reputation as a fierce advocate for agriculture in the region. She is well known for her work on Nebraska v. Wyoming, the “roadless litigation”, but most recently she has been in the spotlight for her positions on Gray Wolf management. Her clients include the State of Wyoming, the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, the Wyoming Wool Growers Association, numerous irrigation districts, and a coalition of 27 organizations focused on challenging the Fish and Wildlife Service’s management of the gray wolf population.

Join us for an update on what she’s been working on lately!

11.18.2011 (Friday 8a-4p)

We are pleased to announce the booking of BEEF magazine blogger and Daily editor Amanda (Nolz) Radke as our Keynote Speaker for 2011. Amanda will present her views in "Taking It To The Streets".

An enthusiastic promoter of the beef industry, Amanda will challenge beef producers to speak out about the positives of beef. She believes producers should be able to effectively communicate with consumers and tell their side of the story and refute the misleading information promoted by well-funded animal rights lobbying groups.

“We know we produce a safe, wholesome and delicious product to feed the world, but does the consumer know all of these things?” Radke asks. Even though we have good intentions to speak out, she adds, we are busy with daily work on the farm or ranch, and leave that task to others. In her presentation, Amanda will show producers how to make the most of their efforts to promote the beef industry.
